Garter Snake by Souzay Garter Snake by Souzay
This may be my first half-decent "wildlife" photo. :)

I like that it looks like he is looking at the dandelion. :)

Found him in my backyard!

Neat photo!

I have to save both baby and adult garter snakes from my cats all the time. Lol.

I love Garter Snakes. They are very friendly and can get to be very comfortable with you if they live near by.

Haha I am not sure if the ones in my backyard are especially friendly but they definitely are not vicious. This little guy was pretty tolerent with me. :D

I feel like if he were to talk he'd have an English accent and he'd be saying, "ah, what a curious creature. why, is it looking at me? Hello there." You should edit a top hat on him with a little bow tie.

Awesome shot anyway. Half-decent? I'd say! It's such a good composition and so vibrant.

Well, there is that.. Except unless he took acting lessons, and is just trying that "you don't see me" look, I am sticking with the "I'm hungry!" look...LOL.

It is a wonderful shot, no matter. :D

LOL. Hugs, Beauty!

Good. Remember it. You never need to explain your art. Not even to a critic. Just smile your lovely smile at them (it infuriates them, too. Just saying..LOL), nod, then take what you want, and toss the rest. It is your eye, and there a millions of people that will love it or not. You are the artist. And a damned fine one at that.

OK. Lecture over! Your page kicks, Girl!! LOL

Very nice picture!

However I would suggest maybe giving it a more vertical crop to see what that does to the balance, the dandelion feels like it throws it off a bit.

Yeah, I tried a bunch of different cropping and I just settled on this haha. Cropping can be a pain.
